isaacharry
How much would you all say is a good price for a pair of "ultra premium clarki clownfish"? my LFS has it for 200 i think or maybe it was 160 Link to comment
ndrobey
Can you take a picture of them? I'd like to see if they are "ultra premium." Link to comment
Neebles
Are you sure it's an ultra premium clarkii vs ultra premium something else? Im wondering if it's a Galaxy clarkii, if so, they do demand high price tags, but I didn't think 160-200 dollar price tags Link to comment

isaacharry
I love them! how much would you pay for the two? they're asking 160 do you think it is a fair price Link to comment
HarryPotter
how much would you pay for the two? they're asking 160 do you think it is a fair price I don't know what their "worth" is, but to me that price seems reasonable for what you get Link to comment
righttirefire
I think they're ugly. So even free I'd refuse them. But you need to decide what they ate worth to you. I've spent more than I wanted on a coral that I wanted and been ok with my decision Link to comment
HarryPotter
Hey they look like Galaxy Clarkii, no? If so that's a very fair price Link to comment
righttirefire
I don't know what galaxy clarkiis look like. And like wise I don't know what kind of price they fetch Link to comment

uwdanno
What its worth is relative to the value you personally see in them! Link to comment
Psychosis
Lol. I understand that what you're willing to pay is a personal choice, but to determine if a price is good or bad is kind of dependent on the market, so it's not a personal decision at all. On average, galaxy clarkii appear to go for about $80 a pop, tack on a little extra for a bonded pair and up to $180 would be an average, no regrets if you like the fish price. If you like the shop, kicking them an extra $20 to keep the doors open or to avoid shipping could also be argued as a good price. Fwiw, if you wait two years they'll probably be $40 a pop. lkoechle
160 seems fair to me. Its really what you're willing to pay. I paid $65 for my birdshot phantom ocellarris, around the webs it goes for $145 which I would not pay, but $65 seemed good to me, and she's a pretty fish. My first DaVinci occy I paid $70 for (she was a looker and with the same type of markings would be around $170 on the net, all three bars were connected) but I ended up trading her for a small DaVinci the LFS was trying to sell for $100, I would not have paid $100 for the fish I traded for. (The DaVinci was the female originally in the phantom/davinci mix, but she was far too aggressive and really tearing up the phantom, so we traded her for small juvi DaVinci and made the phantom the female in the pair) So it really comes down to what are they worth to you and can you find them cheaper (if you can find them at all) somewhere else. Neebles
Is 160 the cost for the pair? From what I have seen individual regular Galaxy clarkiis go for 60 on live aquaria so a pair of ultras for 160 isn't too bad. Link to comment
