foxngn
Hi guys, recently I just got a kenya tree, abouy 3 - 4inches tall. It's been in my tank almost a week. There is no issue with it from what I seen. I place it on my sandbed, on a spot with indirect high flow area, where its constantly waving around. My question is does indirect high flow will stunt it grow ? Or in long term it is not good for it ? Link to comment
jimmy_c
Hi Foxngn.... My trees do best under mild water flow. In fact Saturday I did a tank re-arrange and my prize tree was in the direct line of one of the jets. I just now moved the jet so that its not blasting it. The trunk is about 3/4" thick and about 12" tall when fully extended. My have grown so much that I now frag them attach them to some rocks and sell them back to the LFS for a store credit Link to comment
clownfitch
High flow will likely cause it to frag itself quicker than normal. If you want a tiny forest then high flow is what you want. Otherwise you should have it in a low to moderate, indirect flow. Link to comment
foxngn
well, i don't mind that it grow like a weed as long as it is healthy.. Here is the position of my kenya tree, on the bottom left of my tank. While my wavemaker is on the middle top. Link to comment
