Fluffeh
Currently I test for calcium and alkalinity through salifert and a hanna checker. What do you guys think is the most necessary things to test for in your reef tank? and which brand of kits do you use? (API, Salifert, etc) Link to comment
Markburns43
Amphipod uses his tongue, I think he tests his salinity that way mentioned a while ago. Mainly just salinity kh on a regular basis, API for alkalinity and then before a water change calc mag , using salifert other than that I look at things a lot , pe of coral color algae growth macro growth of such things. TheKleinReef
Salifert test kits for alk, ca, and mag. Red Sea kit for potassium. I've never owned an ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, or phosphate kit. Haha probably never will. Link to comment
charnelhouse
I have API Salt and Reef master kits and a refractometer. I check PH and salinity most frequently. Nitrate and Phosphate occasionally. Don't really check anything else because I have no LPS/SPS. Link to comment
HarryPotter
Hanna phosphate, Hanna alkalinity, Hanna Digital Salinity Meter. I sometimes test Ca, but it's always over 500 so doesn't really matter I guess. Link to comment
