I've only started reefing last year and I started this 25 gallon AIO tank in May 2014. I've learnt a lot from this forum but I've always been too shy to post anything. But I guess I've lurked around for too long and its time to share what I've learnt over the past year... Current full tank shot: Equipment List:Tank: Ocean Free 96l AIO tank (25 Gallons). Curved front glass with 5 back compartments. Chiller: Hailea HS-28Lighting: 1 set of Aqua Illumination Hydra 52 mounted 10 inches above the water lineSkimmer: Skimz SH1Wavemaker: Vortech MP10Doser: Jebao DP-4 (4 channel pump) with Skimz dosing box.Dosing 1.Red Sea Calcium2. Red Sea Carbonate3. B-ionic Magnesium4. RODI water in place of auto top upFitration:1. Innovative Marine Minimax reactor x2. One running AIO biopellets and the other one running rowa carbon 2. Filter wool3. Biohome x 2 small bagsMaintenance:1. Weekly 10% water change with Fauna Marin Salt2. Fauna Marin Color Elements 2ml each weekly3. Fauna Marin Coral Balance 1/4 tsp and Reef Vitality 1/10 capsule every 4 days4. Fauna Marin Ultramin S 0.3ml every 2 days5. Target Feeding LPS with FM lps pellets weekly. Bunster Posted August 31, 2015 Author Share Posted August 31, 2015 The rock arch collapsed under the weight of the sps sometime in June. I decided to do away with it altogether and do a little rescape. Some of the sps weren't too happy with that and I lost some pieces. I bought them as a pair from a local fish shop... being the newbie that I was I took the seller's word for it. They are the first and oldest inhabitants. I'm rebooting my tank but had a similar layout for my Hydra 52 (with RB 65, DB 40) and I always seemed to cook LPS at the bottom underneath my SPS. Your tank is amazing, love it! When I first started the tank, I was using a Maxspect Razor 120w 16k set for a year. On that I slowly went up to 80% blues. Growth on the easier sps was good but I wasn't getting the colours I wanted. I sold that off and got this current Hydra in May. I used the acclimation mode for a month at 40%. So far the corals have been doing fantastic under them. I only managed to burn a forest fire digitata and the tips of a pink stylopora. Strangely the acans and lobo arent complaining. Nowadays, when I add any new corals, I'll leave them under the shade of my monti for a week before I move them. Correct me if I am wrong, but i didnt think blues effected corals much? The lower the blue %, the dark the tank gets. Raising the intensity nob, gets the tank looking more white. Maybe Kessil lights act differently? Quote Link to comment

I usually try to add one creature a month... but sometimes I can't resist Fish: 2 Royal Grammas 1 Black oscellaris clown 1 Yasha Goby 1 Broadband Goby 1 Trimma Goby 1 Eviota Goby 1 Tailspot Blenny 1 Coral Beauty 1 Triplespot wrasse 1 Blue star leopard wrasse 1 Springeri Damsel 1 Sunset Anthia Inverts: 2 pistol shrimp 1 bumblebee shrimp 1 pom pom crab 1 banded blue cleaner shrimp Cleaning crew some hermit crabs 3 nassarius snails 1 serpent star 1 tuxedo urchin phew... that was a long list to type 2 Quote Link to comment
