415nm LED: 2.5mmx2.5mm

Hi,

 

I'm in need of a 415nm peak led with a sharp cutoff before 435nm. I

see one on groupbuy, what's the size of the package ? and can I

just buy the LED without the star pcb?

Anything that looks like a Cree XP/XT package is what is considered a 3535 format LED. That basically means it's 3.5mmx3.5mm. The only other high power violet LEDs that are smaller are the Lumileds Luxeon Z UV series. They are seriously tiny and expensive though, but are much smaller than 2.5mmx2.5mm.

 

LHUV-0415 should do what you need, as it has a spectral half width of 14nm, so you shouldn't have much if any radiation close to 435nm.
