jsnj2009
Hey reefers, just puchased a jbj 45 which arrived broken so waiting for replacement. my question is, should i upgrade my media basket? It seems like the one that comes with the tank seems kinda small, meaning looks like it doesnt hold much media. If so, which caddy fits in back of the jbj 45 and what kind of media do you recomend? The Dish
I made my own basket from Acrylic and egg crate, in the end it saved me maybe $20. I should have just gone with InTank Media Basket and called it good. I got some other stuff from them and was really impressed with the quality of their products Link to comment
Dreichler
ya go to amazon and type "intank" and find your model tank. i got mine for my JBJ 28 and it makes filtration night and day, flow is twice as good, and water quality is better since i can put more media in. mine was $40 i believe. http://www.shop.mediabaskets.com/Rimless-Nano-Cube-45-Media-Basket-RL45MR.htm there ya go Link to comment

Exodus
I have the JBJ RL, I decided against a media basket as I wanted a bigger space for my cheato and instead used a filter floss holder in 1 chamber and a skimmer in the other, but I made up the difference with a media reactor with carbon/GFO. The media basket especially from InTank are excellent and will be a better option than stock, I just dont think it's all that great for cheato. Just another option where either way works.
