HarryPotter
Best diet is a mixed diet- there's no one "perfect" food Flakes, Mysis, pellets, and more! Live food is great too like brine shrimp Link to comment
MikeTR
I would just go with spirulina 20 and mysis. Can add NLS marine pellets if you want. Link to comment
Horerczy
Mixed diet of veggie based food and meaty food with a fasting day every week for that lot. Link to comment
AForys
I was more or less talking flake food. I got basically all the types of Rod's food there is, also have omega ones vegi/brine pellets. I switch these up daily, my inhabitants really seem to dog the rods reef food! I try feedING my shrimp Sally brine but they only take a few nibbles along with the rest of the guys before I gotta remove... the figure 8 I have in a brackish tank loves the Sallys so they go to him. Was looking at ocean's nutrition formula on/reef flakes mixed? How do yous feel about oceans nutrition brand? Yes, I want to buy more live foods! Kinda limited to the lfs around here but I drive to a farther one and buy copepods and rotifiers and they all go nuts! Link to comment
basser1
Hands down the best flake food is Omega One Marine Flakes with garlic! It's also made with fresh seafood and has spirulina in it as well. It is a staple for my fish and they love it! http://www.omegasea.net/products/nutrition/garlic-marine-flakes Link to comment
ArabTanker
Hands down the best flake food is Omega One Marine Flakes with garlic! Hands down the best? Is that your opinion or is there a reason you're saying that? Link to comment
basser1
Hands down the best? Is that your opinion or is there a reason you're saying that? Just that my hands were down while typing..... Seriously though, just looking at what's in it, what's not to like? I have had picky fish eaters, and once I put this in, they gobble it up, even my inverts and corals go nuts for the stuff. Plus reviews from users are very good as well. Link to comment

I am currently switching from it to Sera Marin GVG-mix flake food. It actually has dehydrated shrimp in it among other things. I was just curious as to why you said it's the best. It's nice, yes. but the best? It COULD be I suppose. Link to comment
disaster999
I feed ocean nutrition formula 1 and 2 flake as well as the pellet for my tank. The only reason I went with the flake was because one of my tangs will not eat the pellets and only mysis shrimp. That wouldnt be enough nutrients for the fish. As recommended, I bought the flake foods in hopes to get it to eat and it actually worked. He will wont eat the pellets but noms on the flakes Link to comment
AForys
Thanks a bunch guys, I got some formula 1 & 2 pellets and everyone comes out for them! I only put in a pinch spread out so my inverts get some as well. I really like Rod's food best, basically all the ones they offer. A Lil dash of all, they go absolutely beserk for it! Link to comment
