Hello,

I have a small (3") Squamosa Clam and i am wondering about placement

I am running AI PRIME at 100% intensity

here are some options, if anyone can give be the best idea of placement it would be appreciated

a) 12" below light ( directly under light)

B) 16" below light ( not directly under the light)

c) 24" below light - on sand bed

Squamosas are always found on the sand bed i believe. It is not natural for them to be on rocks. They also require the least light of the clams so the sand is where it should go.

I like how your option B became an emoji

But yeah what Smeagol said- on the sand

LOL, i didn't even realize that until now! :P It was on the sand bed, but today his mouth became open like a gap, so i figured it means its not happy.

Picture? How big of a gap- a healthy clam will have an open mouth, but not TOO open (gaping)

Ill have to post a photo in the morning, the lights are off so he is all closed up now, but i would say a lot more open that usual, enough to notice it .
