cswan19
Was sold to me by my LFS as an acan but looks like it may be a favia? Anyone know for sure? Thanks Link to comment
dragonxflare
Looks like a favia to me.... I could be wrong though. Does it puff up a lot under water? Link to comment
cswan19
Yes, it puffed up quite a bit when it was in the DT at the LFS. It looked similar to an acan but smaller heads Link to comment
Pinner Reef
Looks like a Favia to me as well Link to comment
cswan19
I think you guys are right that it is a favia. Here it is partially opened up. It was about twice as "puffy" at the LFS Link to comment
Pinner Reef
I take it back... That's an Acan Looked like a favia closed up. lol Link to comment

I am trying to find a good spot for it in my tank. If its an acan I will put it up with the rest of my acans, if its a favia I will have to search for another suitable spot as acans and favias can't touch each other without something dying. Pinner Reef
It's an Acan, I promise. Favias don't have a lip on the edge of their polyps. Link to comment
