I am currently running an AC70 and Hydor Koralia 1150 gph (accidentally bought this instead of a koralia nano). I am doing a leak test with fresh water with these running and it just seems like a lot of flow. When I fill the tank with saltwater, will the flow decrease at all? Link to comment
Bingo1213 Posted August 17, 2015 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Ya that seems like a bit too much flow to me. I would not worry about the AC70 that should be fine but the Koralia is gonna piss corals off. The flow will be the same in saltwater as it is in freshwater for the most part. Link to comment

mt4sure Posted August 17, 2015 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Definitely going to be too much flow for a 20G long. That flow would be okay in a 40G breeder or the like and your switch to a 425 is wise. If you end up needing more flow you can always add additional smaller powerheads down the road. Link to comment
