stew1818
I really want a jawfish for my 40 gallon tank. I see there is a blue spotted jawfish and a yellow headed jawfish. The blue spotted was waaay more money. Why? Can anyone tell me about the personalities? Are they hard to keep? Would love to know more. Thanks Link to comment
HarryPotter
Blue spotted jaw fish from fish nuts? It's freaking gorgeous haha. I don't know anything about it, except it looks amazing. Maybe liveaquaria can help under "jawfish"? Link to comment
Neebles
If it's your first I would go with the yellow headed. Blue spots, while nice looking, like cooler water than the typical reef. While it's not a problem, it may limit what else you stock. I had a yellow headed jaw, and I liked it's personality. I'm going to get another jaw soon, but will probably go with a dusky or black cap Link to comment
Jorgieee
They are gorgeous fish I had one in my biocube, and he barely was out he stayed mostly in his cave he made. Link to comment
basser1
I'm partial to blue spots as you can see...... Mine did very well in my BC29. As far as temps go, they will also do well with our "regular" temps. Give them plenty of rock rubble, the more the better! They love using it for their burrows. Make sure your tank is covered, they are notorious jumpers! Mine built his burrows out front, so I saw him plenty of times and had mine eating frozen shrimp out of my hand. And they have great personalities! Truly a beautiful fish and I would pop for the extra dollars. Link to comment
Havok_9
I had a bluespot jawfish. The only time I ever saw him was when I found him on my living room floor. Gorgeous. Link to comment
