Minimalist Mr. Aqua Bowfront

Just set up a 7.5g Mr Aqua Bowfront.

Planning to keep it very minimal. Minimal in equipment, scape and livestock.

No sump, no skimmer, no HOB filters.

Just lights, a heater, a powerhead and ATO.

No sand, and just a single rock.

Planning to put in easy corals, no SPS here.

Maybe some GSP, zoas and torches...cause I love torches haha.

Fish? Likely just one. Not sure which yet, something that doesn't like to jump. I'm leaning towards a damsel right now.

Why? It can run on autopilot for a couple weeks. You'll probably have to gradually get the salinity back to where it belongs when you get back, but even that would be minimized with a cover. The only thing you'd need to move is the damsel.

I still really like it the way it is.

That's true. That was my original plan, to just move the damsel and shrimp and leave the corals in place. But it's gonna be a pain to catch them without taking the rock and GSP out. Also...I need to fill out my big tank with corals lol.

However, now I'm rethinking things. Maybe I can try to catch the damsel first, and see how that goes.

Tank's been back up for a couple months now. Not as colorful as before since I'm taking a different direction, all softies (if goniopora counts lol).

So in here now is:

- a tiny clown

- a rock of pink star polyps

- a rock of goniopora

- a rock with a strip of gsp

- tuxedo urchin

Haha thanks!

Cool thing about this tank is, the goniopora and pink polyps came from my big tank where they stopped opening up. I put them in this dirty, filter less tank, and bam, all the polyps opening!
