Pricing on Frogspawn

I have a pretty decent size Frogspawn a little larger then a softball in my BC14 I'm looking to unload at a LFS. Has maybe 40 to 50 heads. What would be a good price for trade or store credit. I'll try and get a pic up soon.

You would probably be better off trying to sell it outright locally....I'm pretty sure you won't get anywhere near what it's worth at an LFS as hey, they have to make money selling it too.

If you frag it individual heads, my LFS would give $5-10 per head. However for one clump I don't think they'll give you more than $40

No I started to drill a 40 breeder and cracked it. LFS has a deep blue 34 shallow reef ready for 152 dollars was thinking I could trade along with some cash to get it. One tank in all I can handle I did think about that though.

Sad to say but most LFS don't give much for trade ins on corals but there are few with exception. I would frag it off rather than selling 1 massive colony, you'll make a lot more that way. Depending on your area you could clean up selling on Craigslist or through the local reef community, try Hampton Roads Reef Community they are in the VA area along with me :)

So stopped by this lfs and talked to the guy about trading he said he would do wholesale on my spawn per head I've got about 62 heads. That will get me the deep blue 34RR and still leave me about 100 left over for supplies. Think I'm going to do it some time next week. Good deal or not? I'm unsure if I like the rimless only because I can't put a lid on it, would a rim from my cracked 40 breeder fit as the dimensions are the same.
