HarryPotter
I'm a bit confused. My Tyree Undata Montipora is growing nicely and encrusted onto the rock, but it's black with white polyps. Justin Fox's page shows the Tyree Undata as mainly green with a black border. Is that just photo "enhancement" or is there something weird with mine? It's getting blasted with light at the top of my rockwork- but why would that cause it to stay black? If anything I would suspect that it would bleach from that much light? Link to comment

HarryPotter
Olive green with white polyps, a purplish/whitish tint around the border. Mine is black with white polyps. Looks very healthy and is encrusting though.... Link to comment
HarryPotter
Bump. Still don't get it- mine is purple black and encrusting with no green at all. This is a Tyree Undata, right? Link to comment
HarryPotter
Black? It looks pink... Really depends on lighting. It's a very dark purple with white polyps. Supposed to be green according to my research? Link to comment
