Is this anything bad?

Spotted this in my tank today. My two clowns died yesterday so I am a little paranoid of anything I see in there. Could it be a little snail out of its shell? Sorry for the blurry pic, I had to zoom in alot and my phone didnt want to focus on it. Thanks in advance!

Snails don't leave their shells. Can't really tell from the picture what it is. My guess is a nudibranch, but it could just be a bit of detritus.

Its really hard to zoom in on and get a picture but its definitely crawling around on the glass and back of the tank. I will try to get a better picture

That is a nudibranch. Professor for an invert bio class get these shipped in, I spend 8 months caring for her inverts and came across them often. This one looks nearly 100% identical to the ones we got in.

Afraid that looks like the one that eats zoanthids. Search for threads that discuss (my 2G is one) eradication. Have to treat multiple times, as eggs are basically impervious. Manual removal and 2X FWE every week for a month worked for me.

Yes I have some zoa frags. One wasnt looking to good, I cleaned it off and seen that later. I removed it then I cleaned and dipped the zoa again.

Flatworm exit will only work for adult nudibranch, the eggs are much harder to get rid of, take your zoas out if you can to dip them it is easier than doing the whole tank. Hope you got lucky and it is the only one you have.

FWE works on flatworms. The best instant kill for adult nudibranchs is a freshwater dip - same temperature as tank. The osmotic pressure bursts their membrane and they explode. Eggs will not be affected, need to dip again when they hatch. I had zoa eating nudis - inspected my zoa garden daily - every night, plucked them off with tweezers. They slowly but surely all went away.

Well hopefully this was the only one I had. I havent seen anymore yet, that being said the zoa frag it came off of had never opened. Im debating whether its dead and I need to pull it. I have hope though just like harry did for his clam!

+1 on that.

I must add that I have heard some nudibranch get eaten by some amphipods in some situations, so a healthy amphipod population may potentially make some added difference.
