Bikini Krill
Hey guys, I've spent the last 6 months lurking this forum and checking out all of the awesome tanks. I finally pulled the trigger and got my very own nano. My tank has been running for a little over a month now. I started with dry rock for the majority of the scape as well as a small amount of live rock and live sand to start the cycle. Cycling took about 3 weeks and I'm starting to add livestock now. Still haven't got a refugium set up or the protein skimmer running but I plan to get those sorted out in the next week or so. Please excuse the iPhone pictures, I don't have a fancy camera. curtis72
Looking really good for your first tank and thats a solid equipment list. Now its just patient and consistency DO you have the 9" or 13" goose-neck on the nano box? Link to comment

I thought it was too tall at first and that it looked weird but I'm used to it now and I'm glad I chose that one. Link to comment

Looks good to me. I can't wait for my duo to arrive, it's getting here this week sometime I think. Link to comment

Bikini Krill
Looks good to me. I can't wait for my duo to arrive, it's getting here this week sometime I think. I seriously spent so long agonizing over which light to get and I'm so happy with this one. You are gonna love it! I love your interior decorations. The tank fits in so well. Everything looks so lovely. Thanks! Hopefully the ikea furniture holds up, if my tank ends up on the floor I'm definitely getting kicked out of my apartment. Link to comment
Kolarz
The tank is looking good so far! I really like the scape. Seeing the Fusion 20 makes me want to upgrade my Nuvo 8. Link to comment

Bikini Krill
looking good! make sure your torch is not getting too much flow. How will I know if the flow is too much? Where he is now he's not getting directly blasted by the spin stream return but his polyps are always getting moved around like in the picture. Do you think I should move him? Link to comment

Do you think I should move him? as long as it is not direct flow, you are good. is that pic of him taken when he's fully extended? Link to comment

He shrinks down to about half that size when the lights are out. That's about what he looked like at the store too, they had a bunch of them and they were all pretty small. Link to comment
Bikini Krill
Rhode Island had a pretty rough storm last week and my house lost power for over 24 hours. Luckily everything made it through. Lots of new additions to the tank, LPS, SPS, mushrooms and even a sexy shrimp that now resides in my torch coral! Also had my first experience fragging...accidentally. Bought a nice frag of ORA Green Birdsnest from the LFS and dropped it in the bag like an idiot. I had some small pieces of leftover dry rock from the tank set up so I epoxied the broken pieces and I'm actually pretty happy with how it changed the look of the scape. Link to comment
