Hig789
Looking to get a 40g breeder in the near future and was wondering what a good brand would be? Not looking to drill it, it is going to be made into a AIO. It is also going to have a hood so It doesn't have to be rimless but I wouldn't mind it if it was for future use. But I don't really want a center brace on it if it does have a plastic trim on it. I have been looking at the glass cages tanks but their 40g long is 36x18x12 not the standard 40g breeder size of 36x18x16. If I went with them I would get a star fire front panel. Can I get some recommendations on some brands with good track records and possibly some custom makers? Thanks a bunch. Link to comment
Hig789
They make a rimless 50g tall that is 36x18x16 which would be about $300 with a star fire front panel. If I bought one from them I would just go and pick it up they are about 2 hours away from me. Link to comment

All about bubbles in the seams, tanks exploding, and terrible customer service. If you are looking for a 40b a PetCo $ per gallon tank is better quality than GlassCages I believe. Link to comment

Any other custom manufactures with a good track record out there? Link to comment

Any other custom manufactures with a good track record out there? Depends on the budget. Miracles Aquariums, Reef Savvy, PicO, etc. You dimensions sound really close to a Cad-Light tank as well, not custom but gorgeous for the money Link to comment
Hig789
I'll probably just go with a standard aquarium vs custom. I'd rather spend the difference on equipment. And DAMN I just checked petsmart because that's all we have locally and they have the Aqueon 40g breeders for $40 but they are out of stock at our store. Link to comment

Check all the stores around haha.... .Its a killer deal. If my parents allowed me I would set up a 40b with a NanoBox Trio and an Aquaclear 110 w. Intank in a second! Link to comment

Would be well worth a hour drive to save that much. Wish we had a petco here. I wouldn't be opposed to another acrylic tank since I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old though. Just the price of mind that they will scratch it vs busting it if they hit it with something. Link to comment
