HarryPotter
can i use the marineland or would i have any problems Might have problems. Its just not bright enough I think. You should get a small reef fixture off eBay if that is your budget Link to comment
hinnenkm
I've had those before and they weren't great at all in my opinion ? I'd go with something else if possible. Good luck! Link to comment
HarryPotter
Dunno your budget but a NanoBox Tide would be awesome and grow anything you'd want in there Link to comment
Jr17
in my opinion marineland is pretty bright dont know the problem with it Link to comment
PicoSavvy
It can be visually bright to you but what matter is the par rating. Remember light is a life line to corals Link to comment
Havok_9
Nice and bright while it washes the color out of your coral and turns them brown. Save up for a nanobox if you want to stick with LEDs, scope out the for sale section here. Theres always great deals on used ones from fellow reefers. I've tried marineland leds on a reef tank. Sucked. Would not recommend. Link to comment
Langer6
Some people have had success with these Wave-point lights on Amazon if you're on a budget and don't intend on keeping any demanding corals... http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007ZK80YG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1438515782&sr=8-1π=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=wavepoint&dpPl=1&dpID=41em1lWMZ6L&ref=plSrch Link to comment
Reefkid88
If you want to keep softies and are thinking of the marineland light, just spend a few extra bucks and get the Beam from Dave at NanoBox. Link to comment
