ps2cho
I have a hermit crab in my tank right now that Is massacring the entire Mexican Turbo shrimp population. He's using the turbo snail shells for himself. Is this just a certain type of hermit, or do they all grow to this size eventually? I like having the hermits, but if they all end up getting this big and killing everything off, I'll stick to snails only. Link to comment
Hexadron
My Scarlet Red Hermit is super peaceful and very small. My experience with the Dwarf Zebra Hermit was that they are crazy, and super active. I had three crawl out of my tank attaching to the silicone and just are always going and crawling over everything. Never had a problem with aggression with others, but they would pick on each other constantly. The Scarlet Red Hermit is more peaceful and not as adventurous. Link to comment

Harpers
Not all are made the same. But the dwarf zebras are weird hermits. Link to comment

CJJon
All crabs are dicks. The red scarlet crabs are the best. The ones with yellow eye stalks. They are the only crabs that have not been placed in the hermit jail. They are like stoners, not in a hurry for anything and content with just sitting in one spot munching away. They are not efficient at anything really, I just keep them around because they look cool and don't F with anything. Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
I think Halloween hermits are cool too. Mine seemed to be doing well and don't even eat meat. They're strictly grazers and pellet scavengers. Link to comment
