Murphs_Reef Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Yep I know it's been covered but, in my 25 gal I have a pair of clowns, very aggressive to the point that if my hand goes in, it's going to be bitten. I have just recovered from a bout of ICH and I am not ready to think about adding yet, but when I do, what (if anything) could I add? Suggestions would be great. Cheers Link to comment

They're very hardy and great at keeping a tank pest free. However they do love pods, so you can't ever have a mandarin with them. Link to comment

I had a orchid and it was ok, but every so often I would find him tearing apart a snail or hermit. Also had a neon dottyback and he was the same way. You may want to check out a watchman goby, citron goby, or a two spot goby. All are known to be pretty peaceful. Link to comment

You may want to check out a watchman goby, citron goby, or a two spot goby. All are known to be pretty peaceful. Citron gobies and other clown gobies may eat your acropora. However, captive bred specimens tend to behave a little less aggressive. My point was that with aggressive fish already in the tank, adding a timid fish might not work as well as one that will stand up for itself. But, I'm like you; I typically choose more peaceful tank mates. Link to comment

tdannhauser30 Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Im for the six line wrasse, have one in my 28 gal with a pair of clowns and no problems. He even swims all around the clowns nem and they dont touch him,they seem to be good friends lol. Link to comment
