Dreichler
So i have a JBJ 28, and i bought a AI Hydra 26, with the controller, and don't want to hang it by any wire unconditionally, and don't really want to be drilling, does anyone have any clue as to how i can make a clamp on or something that will require minimal drilling. Also, since my tank is now hoodless, will i need a heater? My room stays about 78-82 degrees through the day and night. Link to comment

PM NanoGeek for a picture of how he mounted his AI, it's pretty easy and looks great Link to comment
12_egg_Omelette
Always get a heater and set it just in case, if you don't need it, it won't go on. Look at a neo therm. If you don't want to hang and drill just buy the EXT mount. If you want just take the fixture with you to home depot and be like I need a hole drilled in some metal and then bam done. Link to comment

12_egg_Omelette
I had a AI Sol before I went to a radion, I just went to look for it but my wife told me she already packed it. We're in the process of moving. I was going to try to snap a couple pictures for you. From what I remember it holds on by one or two screws in an easy pattern. I think the DIY would be easier on the AI compared to EcoTech. The arm is also only $65 I think compared to the $99 from scotch. Yes. I have to say the mount is nice though. You can always use l brackets and use the hanging kit or a swivel TV mount bracket. Link to comment
