CJE
These things have over run my tank. It's my first saltwater tank and I didn't know any better to start. I don't think they are aiptasia. The have lite little "suction cups" and stick to a rocks glass anything. They will let go. Drift to a new part of the tank and then stick there. I'm sick of them Link to comment
HarryPotter
Ouch yeah they are polyps. Weird annoying ones- but like impossible to kill. I've razored off one from my rock like 4 times and it grows back! Luckily I just have that one Link to comment
afyounie
Looks like a type of pest anemone. Seems you also have some majanos as well from the first picture. Probably going to want to look into maybe peppermint shrimp as a method to bring the population down. Link to comment

Looks like brown Palys but grow like a weed! Dunno why eats them though... Link to comment

CJE
I didn't want to start killing my rocks. I'm so annoyed with them in going to put them in the sun! Link to comment
CJE
And I did put peppermint shrimp in there. No difference yet Link to comment
ReefWeeds
Be careful as if they are palys, they could release palytoxin. I know most people don't worry about that, but if you're putting that many polyps in the sun, I'd worry. Also take precaution when stripping them out of your tank. Link to comment

Better to just slowly replace with ReefCleaners dry rock. If you kill them in the sun and put the rock back it will nuke the tank from dieoff Link to comment

I say it's a nem because he says they peel off and float about then reattach. That is definitely not paly or zoa behavior. They grow in mats. Link to comment

They grow in mats. paly's will do that too if they've run out of room. not very common but I've had some of my fast-growers do that. Link to comment

Thank you for sharing this info. Guess trying to limit their growth to one area isn't as simple as I thought. Link to comment
