Jbj 20g frag tank

sprite

Recommended Posts

Anyone set one up yet? I just set mind up as a shallow sps reef tank instead of for just frags. Post some pics of those that use it.

An advanced acrylics frag tank IMO looks much nicer than the JBJ 20g. I saw the 20g at RAP and was not that impressed

The advanced acrylic does look a little nicer, but scratches way too easy. Deal breaker for me. I would go with the jbj any day.

Lets see some pics of yours sprite!

I haven't taken any yet but this deal I couldn't pass up.. New tank that hasn't seen water and a kessil light that was never used for 350...I haven't seen the advanced acrylic yet though, but this tank makes a sweet shallow reef

Sweet! Sounds like a great deal. Cant wait to see pics. I want to get a jbj frag tank to put side by side with my RL 45 and plumb them together.

Ditto!

I was thinking about that though and might reconsider (theoretically) NOT connecting them. You don't want pests or Necrosis to spread in between tanks if they're connected.

If the two were independent, one could crash but the other be perfectly fine

From what I see on here most people have problems with them always breaking, and beside I'm sure I will find one on here for sale eventually I just have to be patient

Well, I bit the bullet on the way home from work today.... I picked up the frag tank, and stand. Now I am trying to decide if I should use it as a frag tank, or turn it into a shallow zoa garden..... Hmmmmm m

Well the returns are on the bottom of the tank, so that might make it difficult to have a shallow garden.

Pictures? What lighting/skimmer you using?

It's not difficult really.. I plugged the hole at the bottom and redrilled at the top for a return. I also replace the return pump with a lower gph to combat the sand displaced in the front corner that the stock pump was causing

Do you have any pics? I would like to see what you did with your scape...
