So I am starting my dosing pumps again, yesterday my ALK was 7.7 8 ish it is now 6.8 I want to maintain a level of 8 dKH, how to I calculate this again. I understand that I need to have aprox 64.2 ml to get me to a 8 dKH but how do I maintain this, I forgot the calculation is it 64.2 multiplied or divided by something, or it should be 64.2 ml per day?

You need to test your water over the course of a few days without dosing so you can see your tank's consumption rate per day. Then bring your levels back to where you want them and dose the daily amount consumed, daily.

Pretty much a combination of what both rturiak and Admonition said. First you have to calculate how much your tank is using over the course of two or three days so that you can get a good average. Say on Day 1 you are at 8.5 and after 48 hours you're at 7.0. In this example, your tank dropped 1.5 over the course of two days or .75 per day.

From there you can just use a calculator and see how much you need to dose every day. You type in your total water volume, the product you're using, and then just do a calculation for what would raise your tank .75. For the "Current Alk" section you can just type in 7.0 and for the "Desired Alk" you can just type in 7.75. Once you do that, it will pop out the ml of whatever product you are using and that's how much you need to dose daily.

Typically you don't dose it all at once so simply divide the daily dose up by however many doses you want and you're done.
