codyreefs
I have had a 29 gallon seaclear for a long time. The tank had become a water hazard and I have had to tear down it. The crazing of the tank has weakened it beyond safety. Crazing is microfracture like cracks within the tank. It has literally frightened me that the tank will give way. I have contacted sea clear and they have a lifetime warranty on the tank. I am hoping that they replace this tank. I don't know if they will replace the tank but if they don't it's going inot the trash and they will lose my business for good. I can put up with a small spot of crazing and the tanks alright but its literally bowing to the point of near failure. Emailed seaclear lets see what they say. Link to comment
codyreefs
They say that warranty does not cover crazing. That the crazing is from using cleaners. Well I never have used cleaners I just use microfiber towels. then Ryan a rep or something says I should go to a lfs and find some acrylic cleaners and try to buff out the crazing if it's not to bad. Well its bad here are some pictures. Link to comment
masterbuilder
Solution.... dont buy acrylic aquariums. For our small tanks there is no upside...but thats just my opinion. Link to comment
