charnelhouse
I have a pair of Ocellaris that have been in our tank for a couple of weeks. We bought them with a definite size difference in the hopes of facilitating the bonding process. Generally speaking it seems to be working. The fish are a standard morph and a domino morph. The standard is the larger and the domino frequently shows the "epileptic fit" submission behavior to "her". I have seen it multiple times in the last 10 days or so. Yesterday I noticed the standard doing some twitching to the domino, but it didn't look like the full on epileptic fit behavior. I couldn't find anything on the web about this though. Has anybody seen this or know of it? Is it just that "she" isn't fully female yet? Or is it something else? One thing to note; we have a flasher wrasse in this tank that is kind of a pushy jerk. He thinks he owns the whole tank. The clowns mostly ignore it and there isn't any real attacking going on, just occasional nips. No fin damage or anything, but he does rush them. Could the wrasse's aggression interfere with the clowns bonding? Link to comment
