Soft coral frag but rock has aptasia

I just got a nice soft coral frag from a fellow reefer but the rock it on has aptasia.

What's the best way to resolve this before adding to my display tank?

Is the best option to cut the frags a re attach them to my rocks?

How big is the aptasia? Do you have a qt tank? Some Peppermint shrimp eat aptasia.

It depends on the coral. I usually won't pull softies off their rock unless I absolute have to! Try aptasia x. That stuff works great. If it's far enough from the coral you can take a blow torch to the aprasia and zap it right off. This takes a rather steady hand though. Also some people will use corals such as elegance corals to sting them. I'd say try aptasia x first!
