Merthynia
During my tank move I lost all the little micro brittle stars that I had in my tank. Hopefully there is someone around with an abundance of them that can ship the little guys to me! Link to comment
Cencalfishguy56
Dido! I want some too Link to comment

Merthynia
Okay I have hundreds of these dudes waving their arms all around the rock and pipe organ colony- I'll start collecting them when I can and putting them in a breeder box Hurray! I really like the guys personally. It sucks that I lost them all in the move. I figured one or two would make it and rebuild...so far nada! Let me know when you've got some to ship! Link to comment
Merthynia
When my scape collapsed a bit ago I picked up the pipe organ colony (when closed size of a baseball) and a BUNCH came out! I don't know where I got them (dry rock, plus I dip everything) but they're a pretty cool albeit rude CUC member They are a great member for a PicO cuc since they stay super tiny Link to comment
FlowerMama
I've always wondered...those cute little pure white ones, do they turn into the regular brittles maroon/white striped? If so, I wish some would remain white. Against a background of purple coraline rock, those would be gorgeous. Link to comment
Horerczy
I used to have tons of these guys. Some of them with quarter inch bodies not counting the legs. Lost a bunch in the move. I can get more relatively easy though. Link to comment
Huffy
I would be interested in these as well if someone is selling! Link to comment
Mariaface
I got a single one in my chaeto when Ark shipped me some, and so far it's turned into about four or five. I have no way of getting at any except the one that made a home in my plastic thermometer after the move, and I'm kinda partial to the little guy. Actually, I'd also be interested in buying some. They're kind of awesome! Link to comment
ReefWeeds
I'm with you, Maria! I love them. I have a few, but not many at all and would love more. Link to comment
Mirya
If Harry doesn't have enough for everyone, sponsor Reef Gardener has them for sale too. Link to comment
Mariaface
Maria- they arrived healthy when shipped in the wet towels? (By Ark?) It was a sandwich ziplock with a bunch of chaeto in it, and the little guy was just sitting there, wiggling to try and get out. I plopped him into the tank, saw him for five minutes before he disappeared into the rock work, and now I see an arm sticking out in a few places now and then. But yeah, regular flat rate priority shipping. Took two or three days to arrive, if I remember correctly. Link to comment
bizzarro
There's a few kinds I've had; white with black stripes, red with white stripes and some that are all white and not hairy like the first two. Link to comment
Huffy
Wow I had no clue people wanted these things!! I think of them as a "Helpful Pest", because they did get into the tank and spread unintentionally, but they do help as well. Im going to swish the pipe organ colony in a bowl and see how many I can get out, and then Ill see about shipping them. I bet they can ship in a wet towel sealed in a ziplock (and enveloped), but need to check on that. Maria- they arrived healthy when shipped in the wet towels? (By Ark?) Harry, you are awesome! Definitely interested! Link to comment
Huffy
I am in Florida as well (Tampa area). No power outages here, at least not today! Not sure on collection methods, maybe create a brittle star trap? Link to comment
Merthynia
Holy cow...this thread has blown up! I guess I'm not the only one that likes these little guys! Link to comment
kimberbee
Any suggestions on keeping them alive and isolated for a day or two? When I get rid of my old rocks, I'll try to save as many as I can. Maybe I can get you some Merthynia since you're close and wouldn't have to ship! Link to comment

Merthynia
Lol I have no clue! My rocks were dry, I dip all my frags, etc. There are TONS though- this one I grabbed when after I fed Reef-Roids when they come out Um I got a few- like three or four in the breeder box. Those I just got from the LR, the pipe organ is the colony I'm so excited! Link to comment
Mirya
Omg so many people.... How the heck can I breed these? Just lock em up in a breeder box with LR and some chaeto? Dose your tank with Courvoisier. Link to comment
