tetraodon Posted July 13, 2015 Share Posted July 13, 2015 All my clams were purchased at the 1-2 inch range never lost one, thought I do have alot of free food for filter feeders, I found were the clam comes from to be a bigger thing to worry about rather than the size. Link to comment

I've been told 1inch is the minimum but the smaller they are the more risk as mentioned before. Clams under 3 inches apparently rely on filter feeding for up to 75% of their nutritional needs.
