Which inverts are not macro safe?

Or maybe it's easier to list which inverts are? My Astoria snails do t touch the macros but 520 min after adding a Mexican firth it was in top of a macro. Someone told me to also avoid hermits. Is that true?

I've had bad experiences with hermits and turbo snails eating my macros. My favorite snails to clean up my macro tanks are fighting conch, trochus, cerith, nerite, and astrea...though you'll need to rescue them if they get flipped over.

Sea urchins, sea slugs ( not the nudibranch), crabs in general, there are a few others

I have nassarius snails in the my seahorse tank that has macros. They do a good job with the sand bed.

Emerald crabs will devour prolifera and most likely anything else similar.

I'd avoid most crabs period, IME they just munch on whatever is in front of them and redecorate with whatever they don't find palatable. Sea slugs/hares, turbo snails and some species of amphipods (if they overpopulate) may also consume some varieties of macros as well.

If I have a hermit in my refuge and he is eating the macro does that just put the nutrients back in the water?

I have a porcelain anemone crab, sexy shrimp, and pistol shrimp, Peterson shrimp with my macro without problems.
