automatic water change?

Does one have awc system up and running?

I know most people used duel head pump for this application like stenner pumps or the litermeter 3 pump. I also found this old photo http://home.comcast.net/~chill105/autochange.gif that has a nautilis pump used for water change but I can't find reviews on the pump.

I also read about using float switch but the question of

accuracy comes into play.

I'm currently planning this with a Apex dos. There are a couple of people running AWC with it and the programming has been posted a couple of times. The stepper motors are really accurate, but sometimes there might be an issue with back siphoning and some bugs in the programming. I've found the search "dos AWC" will get you a couple of hits.

The thing about the dos doser is that it uses two motor. The reliability is now half of that of a single motor pump. If one stop the other continues with a single motor their is no possibility of that happening. Plus with the 350 price tag I can buy a commercial system like a stenner pump.

This is the system I am working on

I still can't get the exact same amount of fluid changed. I think it is due to old tubing that need to be replaced

The project is good I got the prototype to work good, had to buy several different dosing tube to test which one worked out the best. But I well let my kore doser handle the water change now. Good pick on the stenner pump, one of my friends in Georgia has one running on his 210 and it been running for 1 and a half year straight and no problems very reliable, but loud as hell for a pump.

Nope not yet. I order a mounting kit for the doser and the company that I order from apparently say that they never got the order, even though I have the credit card statement that proves that I did order from them. I need that to get here so I can measure it and build the stand. But tomorrow my return pump gets here. So now the only thing stopping it from getting wet it that doser mount.
