Hig789
Been trying to think of what fish I want in my 15. For sure there is going to be a clown in there, possibly a designer, but more likely a baby Ocellaris. Looking for another fish with the personality that clowns have. I was debating on a yellow watchman goby and a pistol shrimp but I'd rather have something that up in the water column vs burrowed in the sand most of the time. I had a bi color blenny in a previous tank but he pretty much always stayed in his chosen hole in a rock almost all the time. I know liveaquaira suggests a 30g min for a six line but would it work in mine? Don't have any experience with them. Any suggestions? Link to comment
Squared
what are the dimensions of your tank? sixlines become very aggressive once they settle in, i would not add one. a small blue chromis would be a great addition, they are almost always up in the water column. cardinal fish are another great fish that stay out in the open, there are a few suitable species such as the longspine, yellowstriped, and banggai, and maybe a couple others Link to comment
Hig789
It is 15"x12"x16" for the display. Had debated on a firefish also but I don't want it to run and hide when my 2 year old comes up to the tank to show them his new toy or something. Haha. I've had a school of chromis in a pervious tank also but I thought you needed more than one for them to be happy. Link to comment
Hig789
The wife is in love with the black ice Ocellaris so hat might be the one we get if I can get one locally. A pair of clowns would be my choice for two fish in the tank. But the wife wants a little variety and I'm not sure how to find a good matched pair or if the tank is even big enough for two Ocellaris'. Link to comment
Squared
a single pair of clowns will be fine, just buy them small and of similar size you could get 2 different varieties of clown, they will still pair. just make sure you get the same species chromis do fine on their own as well, many nano owners have kept them singly Link to comment
