ryhous
I'm thinking about setting up a Mr. Aqua 3 gallon long (18" x 5.5" x 7.1'') with just live rock for filtration. I'd like it to be bare bottom, and have no other equipment except a Cobalt Aquatics NeoTherm 25 watt heater, Tunze Universal pump Mini 5024.04, and Zoo Med AquaSun LED HO Aquarium Light Hood (18''). Would this setup work with a yellow clown goby and low-medium light corals? The aquarium with the products listed would be very sleek with little equipment/cords showing; that being the main reason I chose them. What do you guys think? Link to comment
uwdanno
You COULD probably make it work but you would likely have to do significant water changes at least once per week. Rock alone will struggle to keep nutrients at safe levels Link to comment
fishfreak0114
I don't know much about equipment so I can't help you there, but I wouldn't put a yellow clown goby in a tank that small JMO. You may want an ATO too because there would be a lot of evaporation. Link to comment
uwdanno
I would fill the tank with macro algae too. Will help export a tiny amount of nutrients. Link to comment
