McCune
Last year before our second child was born I persuaded my wife to let me over the cadlights 50 long setup. I broke down my 72 bow and 34 solana and put it all inside. Everything was going great for 19 months or so. I was then unexpectedly moved to a night night to 8 am shift and the tank took a turn for the worst. Now that I'm back to e regular schedule I have been trying to combat all the algea and other issues. At this point I just want to swap all the rock and sand out and start fresh. My concern is all the current livestock I have right now, tons of Zoas, rock news, Lps including an acan maxima. Looking for idea to help facilitate this idea. Thanks for any advice. Link to comment
dillct
Swap out the sand or go bb for a few months till things are back on track. Keep the rock. Link to comment

khuzdul
If you are at the point of throwing in the towel, you might want to try Dino X. Might save doing the teardown/rebuild. If you go that route, it is putting chemicals into your tank. Don't overdose and be careful about doing an extended treatment since you have a clam, it can hurt them. Link to comment
charnelhouse
Do you have any CUC in there? Have you considered adding/supplementing algae eaters? I had an algae infested 6 gallon that was clean within a week due to the hard work of a half dozen cerith snails. Link to comment
piano15
I agree with charnelhouse. Increase the cuc's and they will clean up the mess. Are you having nitrate and phos issues? Link to comment
