Really dark purple with green polyps- I'm thinking Garf Purple Bonsai, but am not sure if the corallites match up. Link to comment

I also have another unknown Acro in my tank that looks identical to this. Who knows. Regardless nice pick up for five bucks!!! Hopefully it's starts encrusting quick!! They tend to do that when cut before they start growing up again. Link to comment

I picked up a LOT of acros for $5 to $10 each recently- check out the most recent photoshoot I hope it grows quickly - I LOVE that dark purple! Link to comment

Moulton712 Posted July 3, 2015 Share Posted July 3, 2015 That could be a purple bonsai. Garf bonsai refers to lineage. Since you can't confirm the lineage you can't call it a gaff bonsai. A purple bonsai and a garf bonsai fetch different money amounts. This is because lineage. Also garf will be most vibrant colors and live longer given the same water quality. I had both I paid 35 for a maricultured purple bonsai that died in a year and was 20x the size frag of garf I purchased. Link to comment
