Hi All,

Just had to post a couple of photos of my new Black Sun Coral.

I have had him a week today. It is opening and eating, so I think it going

to do fine in BC29.

Thank for looking,

Barry

What's he eating? Have any problems with any other animals stealing food?

My Black Sun Coral is eating Mysis Shrimp and Blood worms. I have not had any problems

with anyone stealing food. I have been feeding it daily.

That's beautiful. I had one as well and for about 8 months he was great - beautiful polyp extension and ate well. Then for some unknown reason the black flesh turned a light brown color and most of the polyps died off. My other Suns and dendros all remained fine. It's still hanging in there and eats but certainly not as spectacular. I have read some posts that the black ones are harder to keep but not sure why that would be. I am interested to see how yours does. So lovely.

Hi All,
A little update on my tank. Today was water change day.
It took me a little longer, I installed BFS GFO/Carbon reactor.
It's only been running a couple of hours now, but I have never seem my
water so clean. Below is a photo of what I installed.

Hi All,
Well my new BRS mini GFO/Carbon reactor has been running for about 24hrs.
The biggest thing I have noticed is how much clearer the water is, like night and day.
One other thing my skimmer in not skimming anything, I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
Any thoughts,
Barry

Awesome man, a great addition to a 29 gallon, you can feed it and not worry about over feeding it's doing great. Was it fully open at the LFS before you bought it or did it take a lot of work for it to open up?

I bought the black sun coral online site unseen. It took two weeks of feeding it out of the tank in a bowl to get it to open like it is

now.

when I had my sun corals, I would take them out and put them in a bowl with tank water to feed them.....have you had any problems with excess nutrients, or algae. Those things can eat!!!
