DaveFason
Break down. 87% of my orders are dual channel 13% of my orders are four channel Most people find adding more options to be a little much. I personally only use two on all my tanks. I understand some people want FULL control and that is why I made a four channel set up. Hope this helps! -Dave Link to comment
outerorbiter
Me again I personaly thought the upgrade to 4 channels wasnt that much so I went for it instead of regretting it. Although it looks like you can send the light back to Dave and get the upgrade for a fee. You will have a great light anyway you go! Link to comment

That way you have the option of there and you won't regret it or second guess your decision. Link to comment

outerorbiter
Yes you can program two channels or three or all 4 to do the same thing or all four different. I got some ocd as well waiting on a tide from Dave has it flared up for sure! Link to comment
deathbyart
that thread is my other thread. i only got like one response in it... I apologize, I didn't even notice that. I remembered scrolling through the thread yesterday, that's why I linked it. In regards to the number of channels, it really depends on how much control you want. On my two channel I still have the "blues" and "whites" ramp up interdependently during the course of the day. Then I have the blues dialed down to almost off as "moon lights" Link to comment
smeagol108
I decided to just go all out and do four channels and a moonlight. Figured I may want it later and to keep it simple from the get go I will just program it to act color wise as if there are only two channel and than mess with it down the line. Link to comment
Horerczy
I have for channel and honestly I run the channels only marginally different so running just two channels wouldn't change much. Though I have four violet diodes so I do run those significantly lower than my whites. Link to comment

This was it for me. I like to tinker and wanted full control... especially for the price. 2-channel is fine, but I wanted the feature. Link to comment
