jimmy_c
I've had Yellow for about 9 month now... Great little guy grown to about 4" since then. Thursday did a cleaning of the tank. Cleaned sand bed, glass, blew off rock with baster and did a 8 gal water change on a 45 gal tank. Yellow will always hide by digging herself in the sand bed some where. Yesterday she didn't come out, not too surprising since that is her normal behavior with that kind of disruption. This morning she is out but not looking good. Breathing heavy, laying on here side some, Not swimming around like they normally do. Doubt she is interested in eating since she looked so stressed. Right now she is hiding in-between some rocks. Definitely not herself. No visible signs of damage. Suggestion of anything I can do?? I fear the worst. Link to comment
CJJon
Ammonia spike due to all the disruption maybe? Do you have a QT? Link to comment
jimmy_c
Don't think so on the ammonia. Checked it and shows 0 on my API kit. 3 Nemo's are fine, Flame and Benny, Fire shrimp are fine. I only clean about 30% of the sand in my tank.. Might try the QT suggestion however catching him might prove more stressful. Also not sure what I could doctor him with once in the QT tanks. Good suggestions Cjjon thanks. Link to comment
jimmy_c
Well she didn't make it... Maybe I hurt her while cleaning the sand. Did see some slight damage on her tail area. Noticed after taking her out around her beak, mouth area looks like some internal hemorrhaging. Hard to say though. Man i really liked that little guy/gal. Too bad you can only keep one wrasse per tank they are so cool and so many colors. Link to comment
