piano15 Posted June 27, 2015 Share Posted June 27, 2015 I'm using an aquaclear filter with floss and carbon. Is there a particular way one should have the media in the filter basket? Floss then carbon on top or vice versa? Link to comment
CJJon Posted June 27, 2015 Share Posted June 27, 2015 The flow is from the bottom up, so floss on bottom, carbon on top. The flow of water should always hit the floss first whether it be flowing up/down, in/out. That way all the chunky stuff will be collected in the floss before it gets to your media and clogs things up. Link to comment
