Daedalus
I seen these at LFS and after little research, little taken back by the price tag when compared to the JBJ nanocube or biocube that includes stand and lighting for same price as the 30G Nuvo tank alone. The filteration kinda baffles me as I would have thought with that type of filteration on a reef tank would be a nitrate factory eventually ammonia if it didnt get cleaned up. Wouldn't it be more ideal to have a refugium filtering the tank then the media baskets? I remember back in the day when i was doing it, using AC110 DIY refugium for 29g and nanocube DIY refugium in the back. What's the advice? I'm more of a softies kinda guy with a tad of LPS. seabass
Welcome to N-R.com. Generally, with live rock in your display, you don't want additional bio-filters in your filter chambers. Wouldn't it be more ideal to have a refugium filtering the tank then the media baskets? You can upgrade the media baskets (including a basket for a fuge if you want): http://shop.mediabaskets.com/IM-Nuvo-30_c64.htm Link to comment
HarryPotter
Plus the Nuvo 10 is $99. Show me another AIO that's less! Link to comment
Mike Savage
I agree. The Nuvo 10 is a great tank and for $100 without the light is a great price. I went with the NanoBox Mini light and it is great! Link to comment
