Spiky algae troubles

Can't seem to find a solid ID online for this algae that has cropped up on the rocks. Here are two photos. It's purple/red and spiky/wiry. They look like short bristles. Or stubble, hah. We've had it for a few months, and it hasn't spread past this point, though it also isn't receding! The individual spikes/strands have stayed short. Anyone know what this is so we can start figuring out what might munch on it or get rid of it? We've got some hermit crabs, turbo snails, emerald crabs, and banded trochus, but they don't seem to be doing the trick. Thank you, thank you!

Aesthetics, I guess. Fear of the unknown. Fear of mass domination and takeover.

It feels more fuzzy to the touch than hard/bristly, even though it looks stiff.

it's some sort of red macroalgae, I got the same stuff in my tank, one square inch patch, no matter how much nutrients are in the water it never seems to grow quickly, it won't take over which is nice, but watch out other algaes can smother it pretty easily. Think of it as a little marine lawn lol.
