ps2cho
I did some searching and most said it's starving but I have had this starfish for 2 years.. I have never fed it.. Could it really be starving or could it be something else? Link to comment
righttirefire
Harlequin shrimp? Any new additions that might consider a starfish lunch? Link to comment
The Aquarist
Unfortunately, echinoderms such as starfish take a long time to show signs of starvation. Sand sifting stars need a plethora of microfauna to survive, and most tanks cannot meet their demand. Link to comment
ps2cho
It only happened a few weeks ago. I can't believe 2 years fine no issues then in 2 weeks lost half of 2 legs? No new additions in 6mo. I've noticed one of my hermits is getting to be a monster size (using a mex turbo snail shell that size) and has killed off almost all my snails. Could it be him? Link to comment

I would give it a thought they are opportunistic feeders Link to comment
ps2cho
So I added some more snails hermits and started turning off the pumps so he can grab some food. Saw him eat a nice chunk of mysis yesterday Link to comment
