piano15 Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 I have a 100 watt enheim jagger shatterproof heater, i purchased the wrong one! My tank is only 15g. The guy at the Aquarium store said it was fine to use, it would come on less often. Will this be ok to use in my tank? Link to comment
gmanreefer Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 I use a 50 watt on my 8 and 10 gallons and a 25 watt on my 3 gallon so I think a 100 watt is a bit overkill for a 15 gallon ,but you should be able to get away with it. Make sure you set the temp to lower than what you actually want and just monitor it like a hawk for the first day you have it. Also using a controller with it would be best ( I use apex JR for the tank i keep my more expensive coral) , that would eliminate the possibly of cooking the tank. Link to comment
