gus6464
You have a MAME. Go with that. Sump from AA. http://advancedacrylics.com/collections/sumps/products/cube-sump-basic SCA 301 skimmer. Done. Link to comment
Kimosobey
Following. Trying to decide which route to go with also. He has the mane but also the lily pipes... If it was shallower I would say lily pipes. But I vote a sump on this tank! Link to comment

ImNew:]
This was the synergy + nanobox tide combo on sale here righht? Great pick up bro! I also vote sump, it gives you more control. What are the stocking plans. Im excited about this build haha Link to comment
sprite
Thanks! Yeah it was Alex's tank I really wanted it but couldn't make up my mind finally I said "f" it and pulled the trigger... Right now I'm planning on moving some of my best sps pieces to it and some of my favorite z&p's Link to comment
Alex B
Looks really good with the Mame overflow Brian! I thought about a Mame for a while, but never pulled the trigger. Anyway you could mount it off to the side? This was one of things that worried me. Link to comment
sprite
Thanks! I wish I could but the top lip is to wide for it and the cut out is about a 1/4 inch to short so it sits barely at an angle Link to comment
Alex B
I say get a Dremel and go to town. It would look so awesome if you could position it off to the side. Link to comment
sprite
I thought about it but I have the black and Decker version of the dremmel and can't find my attachments for it and Walmart doesn't have them any more Link to comment
MrNanoReef
Nice setup you got going...lets see how this turn out, how many gallon is that? I thought no one like acrylic tanks anymore Link to comment

sprite
I have a problem, my return from the sump is making a big hole in the sand right in the middle of the tank in the open rock scape Link to comment
HarryPotter
I have a problem, my return from the sump is making a big hole in the sand right in the middle of the tank in the open rock scape Soooooo move the output? Lol Or you can get a spray bar- those are really popular. Link to comment
sprite
I'm using the name overflow. No matter where I aim it is going to make a hole because the output is angled down not at a 90. It's about 45° instead. After some searching online , every pic I found of the name has a 90°elbow on the return. Mine is 45°...wtf!! Link to comment
sprite
Filled with water.. My relocate the sand to the sump if I can't gain control of the blowing.. I'm using the canister filter to polish the water back up from the sand dust Link to comment
brad908
I would go with just lily pipes connected to the fluval canister. The MAME, IMO, looks way too big inside the tank. Not sure if it just your preference, but the MAME looks all twisted around. Link to comment
sprite
I think I am going to go with just the lily pipes and canister filter.. I'm going to have to get an inline heater though. I don't want any equipment inside the tank. Side note... The water is crystal clear today after using the polishing pad in the canister.. Link to comment

sprite
Thanks, I just ordered the 300. It was only a couple dollars more than the 200 at aquacave. Anyone wanna buy a name and brand new quiet one 2200 pump? Link to comment

Maybe if it was off to the side it would look better. Link to comment
