LARS Meeting - June 14th - Sumps, refugium and what to put in them

Hello everyone!
The next LARS meeting will be Sunday June 14th at 7pm.

Topic: Sumps and Refugiums - we will have a presentation on what you need to include in your sump to be successful. What they are for, what goes inside and how to decide what type of sump you should buy. Sumps go hand in hand with Refugiums as most sumps have a mini refugium built in. Our presentation will include macro algaes, pods and the benefits of refugiums.

We will be raffling off 50lbs of Caribsea dry rock. great pieces that include branches that are already colored for a real reef look. Here is a picture of the actual rock. There will be one winner. We will also have much more to raffle off so stay tuned. or visit out site for list of items TBD.

Come on out and have a meal or just hang out with fellow reefers. Local clubs are a great place to network. We all have problems with our tanks and talking to other reefers might give you some ideas to make your tank better. Everyone is welcome, bring whomever you would like to accompany you. No pressure to join or participate.

We will have our club Frag Tank set up for members to sell/trade coral. Members will also have a chance at an exclusive free member raffle. We have about a dozen LFS stores that offer discounts for members. Members also get to borrow the clubs new Par Meter! There are only 3 people left on the list so this is a great time to sign up.
