liamboyer
Hey guys! I just bought the ESV B-Ionic 2 part from Marine Depot I have about 55 gallons of water volume. My calcium is at 320ppm and alkalinity is at 6dkh. Do you have any tips besides follow the directions? Link to comment
CJJon
Just dump a bunch in until the water gets cloudy, then back it off by about a capful. Or, go here: http://www.reeftime.com/reef-chemistry-calculator.asp Link to comment
HarryPotter
I used that calculated and it was perfect. Took me from 330 to 440 (Ca) with roughly 1 &1/3 cup B-ionic in a 45g tank Link to comment
liamboyer
Thanks for the reply! Do you put both parts in at the same time? Link to comment
Nanofreak79
Yes, they usually dose together, unless you have super high alk for instance. Quick knowledge....Magnesium must be in line in order for alk and calc. to properly uptake, or work. testing will tell you how much and what you need. Link to comment
liamboyer
Ok thanks! I will test the Mg as well. Link to comment
TheKleinReef
I used that calculated and it was perfect. Took me from 330 to 440 (Ca) with roughly 1 &1/3 cup B-ionic in a 45g tankLike a standard measuring cup?!That seems like so much. Link to comment
Nanofreak79
I would think he's talking capfuls......unless its a giant tank. Link to comment
HarryPotter
Like a standard measuring cup?! That seems like so much. Whoops! I did that much with Kent Nano A&B before switching to B-Ionic. Now I do 15ml A&B daily I would think he's talking capfuls......unless its a giant tank. 45 gallons The Kent Nano is less concentrated Link to comment
