Drew11
I have an RW 4 as well, debating on whether or not I want that in my IM fusion 10 or an MP10. Looks like a good start though! Sand: I love my tropic eden reef flakes ATO: I don't have one yet but to me it looks like the tunze nano osmolator will be the winner. Link to comment
JoeyReefFLL
Thanks for the suggestions on the sand. I think a heavy sand would work best on a 10G tank. too fine and that RW wave maker will be making sand storms lol! Link to comment
HarryPotter
Looks good! For your ATO, the Tunze Nano Osmulator is pretty hard to beat! Link to comment

JoeyReefFLL
Its here ! Box came with a dent MarineDepot did a good effort but the box was a disaster. the dent scratched the tank on the back. No leaks detected (so far) here it is ! with AI Prime mounted aquascape before water I had to play around a little inside the tank as the right rock was touching the right all. Top view AI Prime test Ill be using Filter Sock until Caddy arrives. Fill em up ! Jebao Rw-4 shot. this Pump is Powerfull. @w1 2 speed setting now sump shot Final shots. Let the cycling begin ! Salinity was at 1.030 a little high for my taste. My thoughts on the sock !. Its too small. it fits but it leaves a small gap at the back, you have to push it towards the front to get it to collect overflow water. Ill get a shot if I can. Link to comment
ScubaJ
I just set the identical set up for my dad for Father's Day. It's a great little tank. I did upgrade the return pump to an MJ1200 pump though, no additional power head needed. I will also probably get him the inTank basket... the stock one is pretty crappy. Make sure you can get your magfloat passed your rock! That was an issue when setting up his rock work. Hows the MD filter sock rig? Link to comment
Drew11
looks good! how are you liking the Prime? Link to comment

JoeyReefFLL
looks good! how are you liking the Prime? I love the light the shimmer is amazing. the phone app? not so much. its cumbersome to work with. I am going to set the profile with my PC tonight. I will also post my settings later. sorry for the poor quality. Shimmer video below Link to comment
JoeyReefFLL
6/24/2015 Update: 1st water change, Salinity is down to 1.026, the water is clearer now although I still see some misty whiteness but its probably just me ! lol. I will post water parameters day 1 and after the water change tomorrow. Below are the pics. This is the filter sock, notice the gap, water goes over the sock. My solution until the caddy gets here: another shot: Just after the 2 gallon water change. I rearranged the aquas-cape to make room for the magnet. I re-positioned the RW-4 to see if it was the culprit of the misty whiteness.! Speed 1 wave setting W1 This is how I left it overnight: And the shot this morning. its been clearing up I still see some misty whiteness in the water though! lol Last shot of the day: Link to comment
JoeyReefFLL
A summary and my review so far of the gear I got for my nano: Week 1 update Salinity down from 1.030 to 1.026 Temp is a steady 78deg without heater Still on week 1 of cycling so no livestock for now Using the space for the skimmer/reactor for my Matrix/Carbon bags Gear impressions: IM 200 micron filter sock (Desktop size) - Too small for the opening the gap is huge, I used a sponge to help out. - The sock itself is not bad, I just wish it was a bit wider. Please make the sock replaceable, I would not want to fill up my trash with extra plastic. IM Fusion Nano 10 tank - 100% recommended! - I would change the stock pump with a more powerful one (the stock one of the old fusion nano 8). Will replace eventually. - the tank aesthetics are fantastic, I love it and, when I move to a permanent place, I will probably buy the SR-80 Jebao RW-4 pump - Wow, such power for such a small pump! - Controller is not an Vortech MP10 in terms of options but gets the job done. - I might end up replacing it with a less powerful one IF it turns out that it is causing the misty whiteness or maybe replace the sand. - I can only use it on W1 speed 1 everything else turns my tank into a perfect storm/tsunami ! lol AI Prime LED - AMAZING LED for the price. just under $200 - Android app is lacking in functionality and kind of annoying at times. Use your PC/MAC browser to set it up. - The level of control is awesome, day night cycles, lunar, storm mode (Love it), and added recently, Acclimation MODE !!! - Colors are top notch and the shimmer is mesmerizing ! - Documentation is lacking please include light profile settings, I don't like that easy setup mode.. and clearer setup instructions. Red Sea Coral Pro salt - No complains for over 7 years best salt ever ! Next update coming soon.... Link to comment
Huffy
Awesome start! Really pumped to be getting mine in a few days. On the Jeboa RW-4, how big is it? Looks like an awesome little pump for the money. Also how loud/quiet is it? This tank is going on my desk so looking for something pretty quiet. Link to comment
FutureReefer
Great thread and very informative for someone like myself who will be setting up this exact aquarium very soon. What media do you plan on putting in your new media basket? Link to comment

Thanks, the RW-4 its completely silent ! and rather small if you compare it to the hydor Koralia equivalent. The jury is still out if it is too much flow for that tank but I'll let you knoe Great thread and very informative for someone like myself who will be setting up this exact aquarium very soon. What media do you plan on putting in your new media basket? Thanks, keep checking the thread I will be doing weekly and some daily updates ! On the caddy in the first chamber I plan to use Purigen,Matrix and Carbon with Filter floss at the top and middle. The Skimmer/reactor chamber will remain empty until I decide if I ill use it for a Skimmer, a reactor or a refugium ! (I am a seachem and red sea groupie) lol Link to comment
music4life87
I'm really familiar with this tank but cant you just lower the water level in the rear chamber to prevent water from flowing out of the filter sock? Or is there another wall that prevents it from lowering? Link to comment
JoeyReefFLL
going to try this. thanks. Link to comment

Hirowen
Yes I agree with music4life87. U just need to lower the water so that the overflow water will fall directly into the sock. By doing this you can also get a clearer water. Link to comment
