Will this work with a ReefKeeper Archon?

Harry I really dont know that would be a question for digital aquatics I would assume. A new system would be backwards compatible but you never know

"Full compatibility with existing ReefKeeper Modules"

Might take this off your hands- let me research a bit first.

what exactly does all of this do?

The JBJ Ocean Pulse Duo is a wavemaker. Pretty much you plug in two powerheads into it and the controller turns them off and on in order to make a wave. It has a dial so that you can adjust it to how you like it.

The SL1 and PC4 are modules for Digital Aquatics reef controllers. These work with either the ReefKeeper line or the new Archon line (Archon is backwards compatible with all Digital Aquatics modules). The SL1 allows you to connect a pH rpobe, ORP probe, temperature probe, and has two switch ports. The two switch ports are usually used for an auto top off system since you can hook up float switches to it. The PC4 is pretty much a powerstrip that is controllable with the ReefKeeper or Archon system. Each of the four outlets can be programmed to turn off and on whenever you want. This means they can be used for lights, return pumps, power heads, dosing pumps, etc.

I wouldn't think you would need the SL1 but if you do continue with the Archon, you will probably need more of the PC4s. I'm running the Reef Keeper Lite with three PC4s and an SL1. I can probably get away with only two PC4s but I still use 10/12 plugs on the PC4. I can imagine that those with larger/more complicated systems would pretty much need the extra PC4s.

In regards to the prices listed, that's a hell of a deal on each of those. The JBJ is less than half off retail. SL1s typically are listed around $50-$55 and the PC4 is at the perfect spot. I bought two PC4s for $120 shipped myself. Unfortunately I only have the ReefKeeper lite and can't connect any more modules than the four I have now:/

Yeah I know the price is great, I just don't think I'll end up using it.

I HATE the archon. Digital Aquatics controllers are soooo friggin complicated! I want to get an apex again....... Please?

I have the Archon, 2 PC4s, ORP, PH, temp, etc and can't even figure out how to set the time.
