I am starting a 10 gallon tank. I have 15 lbs of reef cleaners dry rock, a bag of fiji pink live sand, and I will be getting 3-5 lbs of live rock. So my question is do I still need to add ammonia for the cycle or should I just let it go?

I believe let it go- the live rock will start the cycle off for you. Later on, when you think the cycle is over, you can add ammonia to see if the tank can handle/ decompose it.

Skip the ammonia. Just let it ride. The live rock and live sand will seed the rest of the tank. You could use ammonia to speed it up, but you don't need it.

When the nitrites drop and line out to 0 toss in a piece of raw shrimp, small piece. test for amonia every day for a week if, and only if you have zero amonia then do a 20% WC. Your good to go after that. Chill and wait for the diotoms to show up. Oh and I would wait on fish for a while just feed the bacteria some small pieces of raw shrimp or fish, even better some flake food every few days. You can start building up your pods colony in the mean time as well, that is if you want to buy some if not they will come on their own at a slower pace.
