RollaJase
Hi all, earlier this year I went on an overseas trip having a day and a half to spend in Singapore on my way back to Australia. I deliberately picked Singapore as I had recently seen a video that Than from Tidal Gardens made of his recent trip to Singapore, and more specifically, the S.E.A Aquarium on Sentosa Island. Pictures are all resized to 800x600, I plan on uploading all pictures at full res to my Flickr account, I will link to the album when I get to it. *EDIT* Full res Flickr album can be found below: https://flic.kr/s/aHskbW6Sbm Pictures are in pretty much chronological order from when you enter the aquarium to when you leave. These are some of my favorites from the visit. Link to comment
markalot
Nice SPS reef, at least they have one. I have so far failed to find a quality public SPS display. Great pics, thanks for sharing. Link to comment

Great pics, thanks for sharing. Thanks Mark . I was guite impressed with their displays. Everything looked very healthy and the diversity was amazing. The lighting chosen was very much to provide a natural look in all tanks and biotopes. This was very refreshing compared to some public aquariums I have seen who seem to go heavy on the actinic light. The SPA reef was fantastic, unfortunately I only took my standard lens for my camera so I was unable to get any decent shots of the larger colonies at the back. looks awesome, just watched a netflix of some anthony bourdain show about singapore, looked fun to visit.I thoroughly enjoyed Singapore and would recommend it to anyone. It's not the cheapest place to stay by any means but it is an exceptionally clean city and everyone is very friendly. One and a half days was not enough, I would love to go back. I also edited the original post with a link to my Flickr album. Enjoy the full res images! . Link to comment

That's what I gathered from the show, clean, good food, hot, no crime (like zero) beautiful and growing very quickly Link to comment
Sk8n Reefer
Nice pics- you actually got some really clean looking photos from their displays ? Link to comment
RollaJase
Nice pics- you actually got some really clean looking photos from their displays Thanks, I'm glad you like the photos. It was quite difficult to try and get clear photos of the fish while using manual focus and without the help of a bipod/tripod. I'm happy with how some of these turned out . Link to comment

Mirya
Ever since I saw Than's video, I've wanted to go to that aquarium! Thanks for the pictures, it is the closest I will likely get to going there. Link to comment

Thanks for the pictures, it is the closest I will likely get to going there. As soon as I saw the video I just knew I had to go . I was just lucky enough to be able to add a few extra days to the end of my trip. Definitely a move I do not regret, I spent the better part of 4 hours wandering through the aquarium. I'm glad you liked the photos. Reef Builders recently did a feature on the SPS tank at S.E.A, the same tank as can be seen in the last 5 or so pictures above (minus the lion fish haha). Amazing stuff Thanks . Link to comment
RollaJase
Looks like Image Shack is having some serious issues so the photos aren't working. I hope they get their act together soon. May look at a new service going forward. Don't really want to bulk upload images again. The link in the original post to the Flickr album still works and those high res photos are still all good though . Link to comment
